Might be, John McKay had it right all along...... “I told our players that there were 700 million Chinese people in the world who didn't even know the game was played. The next week, I got five letters from China asking "What happened?"
In response to the comments section.....
Gary Farmer and Billy Bob Thornton broke it down and said it best in brief clips from Jim Jarmusch's genius creation-- "DEAD MAN" 1995.
BIG GEORGE-- "I don't give a shit who saw what, and who did what, or who did who..... why don't you shut your gawdamn trap and just eat your beans?".

Ha ha too true. People here are more into the Seahawks than the CFL and the Lions except for when the Riders come to town. And that's only those of us who even know what football is. Ha ha. ps what's with the pic of O.J.? Trying to say something about Mitchell?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the report.
DeleteSad shame ain't it? We wonder if they have the right formula to make the Lions relevant over there. Are Skulski, Wally and crew, hip or dialled in enough, to resonate in Vancouver?
As for O.J and Mitchell...... sheer coincidence.
Except for the fact one guy calls Chinese people "CHINKS" while the other guy lives in the "CLINK"..... whatever else, O.J. is one of the most phenomenal running backs to have ever played the game. That and he played for John McKay at USC.
We typically steer clear of rumour mongering and the temptation of low brow sensationalism, BUT since.... kind reader, you brought it up...... gotta wonder if there's any meat to the rumour of them bringing Michael Sam in to join Khaliff? If cut early, he'd be just in time for a "certain" Vancouver rainbow parade (not the Grey Cup). A truly curious, if novel, approach of making the Lions buzz in a "certain" market demographic thus putting bummers in seats?
Assless chap giveaway night? Orange or grey steel? Hell, make it both. Room for all in an inclusive society/ grasp at straws marketing strategy, eh?
Inclusive except for verbagely sensitive chinks, apparently. Then again, might just be fluctuations?
